WELCOME TO THE RETIRED TEACHERS SECTION

We are an active group which meets regularly, organises trips to places of interest and keeps up to date with current issues.

We have been on various outings recently, such as Arley Hall and Gardens in Cheshire, Winchcombe and Stanway Water Garden and Hall . Our outings have always proved very popular with our members and this year we will be going to Ludlow Festival.

Our General Meetings are held every couple of months, and we also hold an Annual General Meeting. we are also involved in the National Pensioners Campaign working for a better deal for pensioners. Some of our members remain active in the Birmingham Association.

We have various speakers who attend General Meetings to discuss ongoing topics.

Some of our speakers have included:

Erica Barnett - Birmingham Industrial Therapy Association

Louise Turner - Age Concern

Tricia Yarwood - Midland Refugee Council.

If you have any suggestions for speakers please contact Sue Lancaster

Do you have any members in school who are due to retire this year? If so we would like to contact them to advise them of the activities of the BANUT Retired Teachers Section.
